“What does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and will all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord.” (Deuteronomy 10:12-13)
We tend to make life so complicated when it doesn’t have to be. Every Christian knows what is required of them because God wrote a book. This unique book contains all that we will ever need to know. Of course the book I am referring to is the Bible – God’s Holy Word.
When Moses spoke to the children of Israel, he asked them a question, which he would go on to answer – what does the Lord your God require of you? Here is a simplified version of his answer:
1. Fear God
2. Walk in all his ways
3. Love Him
4. Serve the Lord with all your heart and soul
5. Keep his commandments and statutes
Don’t make life more complicated than it has to be. Put Jesus at the center of your life and let Him guide you for the rest of your days.
